Kabul's University Eye Hospital is training 15 ophthalmology residents but lacks essential supplies. This hinders both resident training and patient operations.
-
We support Dr. Shir's work in Afghanistan by providing cataract surgery supplies, equipment, and training. He teaches hundreds of resident doctors at Kabul University to care for the poor, performing surgeries and distributing glasses to thousands of people.
Immediate Needs:
• Advanced screening and treatment for severe cases.
• More surgical kits for hospitals and clinics to make eye surgeries affordable for low-income individuals.Addressing these gaps will improve access to eye care and reduce preventable blindness in Uganda.
