Our partners in the Dominican Republic are dedicated to increasing the number of surgeries but lack resources like equipment and infrastructure. Cataract surgery costs 100,000 pesos ($1,745 USD)—a cost beyond the reach of the working class.
Likewise, high room rental costs in private clinics further limit eye care outreaches. We need your support to make a difference.
Our primary focus in the DR. is screening school children. We need glasses donations and portable equipment for outreaches to increase the number of students we screen. Another focus is partnering with local doctors to provide cataracts

CharityVision partners with private clinics and provides portable equipment and glasses to help them organize outreaches in the most vulnerable places. It and we also provide consumables (cataract kits) to our partners that help reduce the cost of cataract surgery. We are also working on a mobile clinic to reach remote parts of the country.
