'QuieroVer' School Eye Screening Program

This initiative is made possible by the generosity of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and local partners such as the Dr. Rudy Gutierrez Ophthalmic Clinic.
Eyeglasses and Equipment Donations

We distribute eyeglasses to patients with refractive errors and donate ophthalmic equipment to partner clinics. In 2024, 2,174 pairs of eyeglasses were provided.

My motivation is helping the children of my country. I know social programs exist in Guatemala, but the reality is that help often doesn't reach those who need it most. Being part of QuieroVer and CharityVision carries the responsibility of organizing vision screenings and partnerships effectively.
I don't see it as a job, but as a mission to serve with all my heart.

Since last year, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and local partners have helped expand the QuieroVer school screening program. We screened nearly 55,000 children and provided 4,000+ pairs of prescription glasses.
