CharityVision partners with public and nonprofit hospitals throughout Peru to provide surgical intervention to people in need. Because 6.69 million Peruvians live in rural areas, we also run mobile eye screenings around the country to provide glasses and surgeries.

Sending Equipment
CharityVision’s warehouse plays a crucial role in the fight against blindness by serving as the central hub for acquiring, sorting, and shipping eyeglass frames and lenses to Uganda. Thanks to generous donations from optical companies and supporters, our warehouse team meticulously inspects, organizes, and packages thousands of frames and lenses. We are currently preparing their very first shipment ever to ensure our local eye care partners in Uganda receive the necessary resources to provide life-changing vision correction.

School Eye Screenings
The Uganda team aims to collaborate with schools and businesses to ensure that children in need receive accessible eye care. This marks the inaugural year for the program's implementation. There is an urgent demand for portable equipment to be delivered to outreach events, along with additional personnel or technicians to assist with screenings.

This clinic will make it possible to perform surgeries and vision screenings at a rate never before attainable for the people of the Cusco area. The most incredible part? This new clinic allows our Peru programs to become self-sustaining, eventually completely paying for their own program expansion. Screening In Rural Peru
Eliana, our millionth surgery patient, resides in a small rural town in Peru called Huilloc. It’s a three-hour bus ride from Cusco and lacks any eye care within a 70-mile radius. Last week, our team conducted a screening for the people in this remote area. You can imagine how grateful they were for this local service.
