For Valentine's, please help us build a school library for children in Pakistan who can now see and are ready to LEARN!
Why Libraries?
The Pakistani government allocates less than 2.5% of GDP towards education (while the US spends around 6%). Therefore, schools lack libraries and books to read! Public schools are the worst affected, where CharityVision conducts most children's eye screenings.
Vision impairment can hinder children's education, as 85% of learning is visual.
If they can’t see or learn, why go to school? This problem contributes to the 22.8 million Pakistani children aged 5-16 who drop out of school.
