Local eye screening program for children in need

In 2005, CharityVision’s partner in El Salvador decided to provide free eye screenings in schools, discovering students with low grades often had vision impairments. This led to SightBuddies (QuieroVer in Latin America), a program making eye care accessible to low-income children. The idea gained popularity among partner doctors worldwide, including in Utah. Now, eleven countries promote SightBuddies outreaches, and it continues to grow!
Volunteer doctors entirely run the program in collaboration with school districts. Thanks to our partners, donating a pair of prescription glasses costs only $10.
Why SightBuddies?
THE PROBLEM:
Poverty, lack of insurance, and other issues prevent access to proper care. To correct this problem, Sightbuddies provides free or low-cost glasses and vision care to school-age children. Your support can help these kids succeed academically and socially, and give them the chance to reach their full potential.

If you're located in the United States, you will find SightBuddies in both Utah and California. Our program is expanding, and we aspire to collaborate with local doctors across the country. Internationally, SightBuddies operates in Indonesia, Pakistan, Peru, Colombia, El Salvador, and Haiti.
