Pakistan has one of the highest blindness rates for children in the world, and yet there is no government funding for cataract surgery. Consequently, nonprofits carry the full burden of providing assistance to patients in need.
Our School Eye Screening Program, called SightBuddies, should be on a mass level in the next few years.
-
CharityVision founded a hospital in Mansehra, Pakistan that performs 3,000 cataract surgeries each year. We also partner with other ophthalmologists who perform screenings in remote villages.

“I established Mehboob Charity Vision Eye Hospital (MCV) in 2015 as the first corporate sector Eye Hospital in the Hazara Region of KPK. Every day, I see people dying blind but sight will allow them to go back on their feet. I want from my heart to work for them.”
